Serial # 17293 puts this mandolin at about a mid 1900 and in great condition for being over 100 years . It is a beautiful sounding Mandolin! It is set up with low action and the frets show hardly any wear. The bake-lite pick guard shows only a little wear. The tuner buttons are in perfect shape with the standard floral design. Comes with a K & K pick up installed, plugs into the strap button. With a good pre amp or EQ it sounds very natural.

It’s in superb shape but it has a very smallrepair on the treble side of the peg head by the scroll. It doesn’t seem to go through but you can see the shade difference on the side of the scroll. I seems solid to me. It is in the photos. This Mandolin is ready to be played. Its tone is great for jazz (Jethro Burns used a round hole for years ) or old time country.
