Hereis a finely made miniature SQUIRREL made of glass by Henry Carter Johnson. This is a very nice littleguy who measures about 1 inch high. Cute!

Thiswas hand made by an artist in Ferry, Michigannamed Henry Carter Johnson. He was a wonderful man and artist, painter andphotographerwho passed away in 1996. His glass animals and photographsare now on display in a museum in Pentwater, Michigan. We would visit him each year and bring home his little \'critters\' to display in our curio cabinet. Each \'critter\' was made with special colored glass imported from different places around the world. If you look closely, you can see some swirls inside of the glass in some of the animalsfrom the heating process. His temperatures would reach 3000 degrees to form these figures. His animals were never painted. It was all made of a special colored glass. We saw him make many of his wonderful glass creations in his shop he had set up in a shed on his property when we visited him in Michigan.
