A powerful and very decorative relic. There is a magical golden glow to this item. The scabbard features symbolic decorations based on religious and historic events and legends. The shining silvery blade has wonderful medieval style etchings. One side is etched with “Star Of The East Commandery”. The sword is in very good vintage condition with only some normal expected minor age wear. No serious problems. The sword in its scabbard measures approximately 38 ½ inches. Alone, the sword is around 36 ½ inches. The blade is 29 ½ inches. The blade also has the name of the original owner as well as the maker’s marking. This classic sword was made by the great Philadelphia sword maker \"Louis Stilz\". His workmanship was every inch as spectacular as that of “The Ames Sword Company”, The M. C. Lilley & Co”, “The Pettibone Bros” and “William Horstmann of Philadelphia”. Swords from the Order of Malta are quite scarce when compared to most Templar Commandery Swords. And none rarer than gold ones. Quite Historic!
