The California Gold Rush (1848–1855) began on January 24, 1848, when gold was found by James W. Marshall at Sutter\'s Mill in Coloma, California. The first to hear confirmed information of the Gold Rush were the people in Oregon, the Sandwich Islands (Hawaii), and Latin America, who were the first to start flocking to the state in late 1848. All told, the news of gold brought some 300,000 people to California from the rest of the United States and abroad.[2] Of the 300,000, approximately half arrived by sea and half came from the east overland on the California Trail and the Gila River trail.

Our Gold Mining and Prospecting DVD is intended to document that period in American History. Full of books and guides written by scholars at the time, it is meant to be a great educational tool for those trying to research and learn about the search for Gold as it pertains to our nation\'s history. We also include historic gold maps in high resolution imagery to document where the gold rich areas were (or still are!).

The titles in this collection shown below are all on this DVD in PDF format. All that is needed is the latest version of Adobe Reader, which can be downloaded for free off of Adobe\'s website.

This remains the largest, best, most complete Gold Mining Reference Collection on ! We encourage you to compare what we offer, and you will see, we have every title that is being offered out there in inferior collections, plus a whole lot more.

Comments from happy customers who bought many other of our items from our vast catalog:

In 1959 I purchased an original home built “Thing” and ran it for several years on the Willamette River. Years later it got rotten and subsequently discarded. Now the Son of the man who originally built it from the magazine plans in his wood shop in Milwaukie, Oregon works with me and he helped his Dad build it in 1958. We decided to search for the plans and if we found them; I (an engineer) would upgrade it for two adults and build it. I bought your disk and building started last May 25 and it was ready to launch July 20th. You are welcome to use the photos and my “title” as a former white water guild; River Rat Bob from Oregon. Hope you enjoy the pictures attached. I am 60 years old but still chasing the dream as you see from my smile in the boat.

Thank you for the great plans. Unbelievable amount of information for the money. I can\'t wait to get started. -Jeff D., New Mexico.

I built the doghouse using the plans I purchased from you a week ago, and it was great. Easy to read and follow, it was a great purchase. The kids helped, and the dog just loves it. Thank you so much. It\'ll take years to go through all the stuff I want to build on your CD. Andrew H., Colorado.

The jungle gym for the kids is amazing. We bought the plans 2 weeks ago, and built the whole thing last weekend. We are so impressed with the amount of information shown. It is a virtual encyclopedia of plans. Thanks. Josh L., New Mexico.

My God!! That\'s more boats than I can build in a lifetime! Unbelievable! The best I have ever seen. Thank you! Craig J., South Carolina.

I\'ve seen plenty of plans on boats. This is the best all around package of information I\'ve come across. Jake M., Florida.

This has saved me so much time. I\'ve spent weeks looking for stuff like this. Well worth the few bucks to get this CD. Jimmy K., Arkansas.

I bought a CD a few weeks ago that had a bunch of links and junk on it that was ripped off from websites and other useless information. I thought long and hard before trying again and buying from you. I can actually use this stuff. I\'m so glad I did. A.K., Arizona.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why should I buy from you? There are lots of places to buy similar stuff on . What makes you so special?

What separates us from the rest is that we want you to be happy. If you\'re happy, you\'ll buy from us again and tell your friends. Getting one sale from you is great, but we want the next sale from you and the next one after that. It isn\'t worth a few bucks to us to have one unhappy customer. If you are unhappy, tell us and let us try to fix the problem. How many sellers will say that?

Yeah, so, there are lots of other sellers on . Are you saying the rest of them will rip me off?

No, of course not. But, beware of what people sell on . Many sellers on here will charge you an exorbitant amount for shipping. Many will \"claim\" to provide discount shipping only when you contact them, they\'ll tell you they\'ll take a quarter off the shipping price for each additional item. We never do that. Our shipping policy is very straight forward. All of our items ship free to the USA, simple as that, so there\'s nothing for you to worry about regarding combined shipping! You\'ll see that we not only offer more content per package then our competition, but also at the cheapest price too.

I want to see a sample before I commit to buying. Please send me a free sample.

We are sorry that our description, as well as our strong reputation, does not provide you with a strong enough comfort level to purchase from us. With that said, we do not provide \"free samples\".

What if my disk arrives damaged?

We offer a no muss, no fuss guarantee that all damaged disks are replaced free of charge.

FAST SHIPPING!!

All discs are mailed out within 1-2 business days guaranteed!!!

Shipping and Payment information

Pay through PayPal using:

We accept PayPal as our only form of payment. We do not accept any other form of payment.

All items will be shipped within 1 business day to your PayPal address. We will only ship to your PayPal verified address.

All items are shipped by USPS first class mail. In an effort to keep our costs down, that are passed along as low prices to you, all of our disks are packaged and shipped in economic sleeves and mailers. All of our disks are labeled with a clean text only label. The disks are made this way for speed and cost, which translates into lower cost for you. The disk labels do not contain fancy artwork. We focus our efforts on the quality of the material on the disk. We do not believe in charging you an extra 3 or 4 dollars like some companies out there just to throw in a 25 cent plastic case and slap a color label on an item.

USA CUSTOMERS: Most times, your package will arrive in about 5 days after we ship them depending on where you are at. However, lately the Post Office it seems has not been very cooperative with us and we\'ve had a couple of customers wait a few days longer than that. Please understand that we cannot control the Post Office, so we can\'t guarantee a delivery time. If the item does not arrive by the last promised ship date in , please email us and let us know, and we will make it right. The only unhappy customers we have are those that don\'t bother to contact us and don\'t give us a chance to fix the problem for them.

NON-USA CUSTOMERS: Same deal above, except your packages typically have been taking about 2 weeks or so after we ship them. We\'ve noticed that maybe 20% of overseas customers have been waiting as long as 4+ weeks for these shipments. The only explanation we can come up with is that it must be stuck in some container in some dock waiting on customs clearance. It happens, and for those 20% of customers, we apologize, but there is very little we can do about that. Your disk will arrive or we will replace it.

Multiple items purchased by the same customer may or may not be shipped in the same package, at our discretion. We do not offer any additional discounts on multiple items other than the ones noted above.

Every effort has been made to accurately describe the contents of this collection. On very very rare occasions, typographical errors may occur and we may make an innocent mistake. These items are described to the very best of our abilities, and in as much detail as possible.

response Policy:

Please offer us a chance to fix any problems before leaving us negative response for any reason by emailing us first with your problem. The only thing we ask from our customers is that if they have a problem, that they give us a chance to fix the problem for them before they leave bad response. If negative response is left without any prior communication, we will assume you are no longer interested in communicating and working things out.

We have developed this policy to ensure that we do not spend time leaving response for folks who do not bother to return the favor for us, as we have in the past. If for some reason you are not satisfied with this response policy, please refrain from purchasing. By purchasing our product, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted all of our policies.

We verify all disks prior to shipment to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

If you have any questions prior to offerding, please use contact the seller above and let us know. Thank you!!!!!!
