$682.50

\"Golden Woman\", original framed painting by Nema 99, aka Andahadna 124 (Maggie Ingalls), circa 1981.
The provenance of this painting is thus: it was painted around 1980 by Maggie Ingalls, also known as Soror Andahadna 124 and Soror Nema 99. Nema, at that time, was a member of the Typhonian Order and had recently founded the Horus-Maat Lodge with members of the Grove of the Star and the Snake from New York. It was sold to another Sister of the Order at, I believe, the second Warrior Lord Working in 1981 at the Maat Pangrove Abbey of Thelema, Maggie\'s farm in rural Ohio. I witnessed the transaction. Several years later, the purchaser decided to move to New York and gifted it to me. It has been in my possession ever since.
Nema\'s work is well known in Occult and Esoteric circles. Among the books she has authored are Maat Magick (Llewellyn), Wings of Rapture, Feather and Firesnake, Maatian Meditations & Considerations, The Priesthood: Parameters and Responsibilities, and The Magickal Record of Nema 1975-1977. All but Maat Magickare available from Black Moon Publishing. In addition, her work has appeared in many anthologies and was prominently featured in Beyond The Mauve Zoneby the late Kenneth Grant, OHO of the Typhonian Order. Beyond writing, Nema has been a prolific painter whose work has appeared in Grant\'s books and anthologies.
When I showed Nema a photo of this painting several years ago, she did not remember its title or exactly when she painted it, but confirmed that it is her work. For convenience, I call it \"Golden Woman\".
Condition is Very Good. It has been exposed to cigarette and incense smoke hanging in my rooms over the years, but the painting itself is clean and there are no tears, scratches or other faults. The frame is hand made and is original.
