Gondor Bradley? Mid Century Table Lamps Abstract Ceramic 50’s Eames Era Art Deco:

This is an unusual pair of Mid Century Modern, Art Deco styled table lamps. They have an abstract, biomorphic, amoeba-like design and were probably produced in the 1940\'s or 50\'s. I can see them resting proudly on a pair of Heywood Wakefield night stands or a sculptura vanity. The glossy, grey finish is similar in color to the Russel Wright, American Modern dinnerware in grey. I have owned this pair of lamps for over 20 years and now it is time to let some other collector enjoy them. I bought them in the condition shown (after I gave them a good cleaning). I was always searching for the perfect shades, but ended up with a pair of Wal-mart shades that would clip onto the light bulbs. They worked, and looked fine, but I\'m hoping the next owner has better luck finding just the right shades. I have tried to do some research on these nightstand / vanity / table lamps, but with no identifying marks or numbers, it was a tough task. I came across the company Gondor who produced Hollywood Headboard Lamp Sets for Bradley - that is about the closest looking product that resembles these lamps. The metal rings at the top of each lamp have oxidized some and there are no felt bottoms, I think the previous owners re-wired either one or both as their plugs do not match. They were cleaned, but there still may be some minor marks that may need more elbow grease to remove. There is a small glaze miss at the base of one lamp, original to production (see last picture). When I got them, there were some fine, white paint splatters, which were easily removed by scraping them off with a plastic putty knife, but I may have missed some. They stand 11\" tall to the top of the socket, 8.5\" to the top of the base and are roughly 4\" in diameter. Please check out my other \"Desperate Housewares\" sales.
