GorgeousChinese silk fan case embroideredwith gold and silvermetallicthreads to form a flowing pattern of flowers and insects.
One side has a pale blue silk background. Theoppositeside has a pale pinkbackground.Thehandle is a teal color with pink Peking glass beads.
While I\'m not an expert, I estimate it was made somewherearound the late Qingand Early Republic dynasties.
Dimensions: approx. 10 1/8\" in length notincludingthe handle.
Condition: Very good vintage condition considering age and use.One tinypieceof the metallic thread has lifted onthe leaf/vine abovethe insect on the blue side. Also, there is a paperstickerresidueon theinside of the case - see last photo.I have not attempted to clean or press the item.
