Gorgeous Antique Edwardian Long White Cotton Dress w Tatting, Eyelet & Tucks:

This is a beautiful long white cotton 1910s dress. It has capelet over sleeves in a combination of eyelet and tatting. The skirt is in two layers - both edged in eyelet with more eyelet at the waistband. The bodice also has an eyelet strip down the front edged in tatting on both sides and along the neckline. The 3 quarter sleeves have multiple tucks with a tatting insert and edged in tatting. The back opening extends half way down the skirt with 15 tiny pearl buttons in all. Very pretty and elaborate. It appears to be nice and clean and I don\'t spot any holes in the cotton. The eyelet does have a few broken bridges and a few larger damaged areas. Tatting has a little damage in one spot and also a bit of wear at the neckline that could easily be restitched. Capelet sleeves are starting to come loose and need a few stitches at the ends. Overall good condition especially for its age. It measures about 56 inches long from the shoulder or 54 from the back neckline. Measuring under the arms, the chest is about 20 or more inches across and also blouses out a bit. Always happy to combine - check out my other sales.
