ANTIQUE CARVED PEDIMENT CREST
Striking antique Victorian carved walnut dresser, mirror or bed pediment crest measuring 28-1/2\" long, about 16\" tall and about 1-5/8\" deep at the thickest point. Featuring simple carved and stylized graduated arms on each side edge, center is finished with two incised leaves around a tiered floral mount - an applied crown or crest completes the top. The peak is pierce carved with a charming heart design - crest is made of two pieces that are block mounted with an overlap creating an almost three-dimensional effect.
Condition is very nice with no cracks, discoloration, worm holes or damage - it may have a few tiny scuffs or rubs and some age related usage wear, but has been hanging on my bedroom wall over a large cheval mirror for years and other than cased dust, it is in wonderful shape! Complete with sturdy wire and eyebolts on the back, it would be beautiful in a variety of settings - display possibilities are endless - lovely addition to any home or display!
