Gorgeous Fully Restored Herschede 8 Tube Mahogany Grandfather Tall Case Clock c1910Measures 85 Tall x 26 wide x 16 inches deepThis fully restored Herschede clockhas been painstakingly French-polished in shellac and the movement completely serviced and lubricated to work as it should. This clock has 8 positions for tubes, NOT 9 and it never had 9 so it is a true 9 tube. Herschede as you may know, is one of the world\'s legends in grandfather clocks. The case is solid mahogany and done in a neoclassical style with Corinthian columns and flame mahogany at the pediment. The vast majority of our furniture is painstakingly restored in an \"Old world\" French-polished finish for a luxurious finish.An important note when an item is French polished, the piece will have no odors, nicotine stains or residue and absolutely no off-gasses since we use Shellac which is inert and a natural product found in nature. This is very important for people with allergies and chemical sensitivities!
