This is a pair of gorgeous, 12\" tall, fully jointed, (head, shoulders and hips) celluloid or early plastic, souvenir type, German dolls in their complete provincial outfits. Both have absolutely lovely features including big blue sleep eyes with long brush lashes, molded eyelids, painted brows, sweet closed mouth and rosy cheek blush along with her fabulous, curly blond wig with center part and hairpins (never combed out) and his side-parted, short brown hair. She wears original, panties with red trim beneath her long red taffeta skirt with Bavarian type bodice and embroidered hemline, charming blue felt jacket with gold buttons and trim, red and green ribbon streamers around her waist, long white apron, lace trimmed petticoat and blue bonnet with matching lace trim. She also wears her red beaded necklace and has her original wrist tag which reads: GURA on both sides (which is the manufacturer). He wears his traditional, brown lederhosen with leatherette straps with embossed running deer,& green ties, white shirt, red neck tie and darling, grey woolen fitted jacket, brown shoes, knit socks and knee straps. They have no scuffs or scratches, no cracks or chips, no fading or stains, no holes and no odors as they are from a smoke free home. They will make an excellent gift or addition to any vintage doll collection. Antique turkey candy container is not included. We will be adding a few similar vintage German dolls for your consideration for the holiday season.
