Offered for sale is a Gorham two part vegetable or entrée lidded dish. Both the lid and the bottom can serve as serving dishes. It is 12 inches by 9 inches and each alone is 1 ¾ inches high. Together 3 ½ inches high. Each piece has a monogrammed cartouche and is hand chased. (those are not dents in the pictures that is the reverse of the chasing and it is not seen when the dishes are in use and cleaned) The handles are ivory (over 100yrs old and comprising less than 5% of the total mass of this piece) or bone. The piece is Marked with the Gorham marks, Sterling, 2913 A and the scimitar mark for 1917. There is 1168 grams of sterling.
