Exquisite sterlingsilver in the Gorham 1895 King George pattern. Large - 11\" long (longer if the handle were not curved to drape over the edge of a tureen or punch bowl, with a 3 3/4\" wide and 3 1/2\" deep bowl. The design is the older one that flows from the handle to the edges of the bowl, which is gold-washed. The pattern is on both front and back of the handle and bowl and is still crisp (surprising for its age).It is heavy - 238 grams (or more). The design is ornate and elegant, with only moderate wear; no apparent scratches and the gilt in the bowl of the ladle is complete. There is no mono and no sign that any was removed, either. The Gorham marks are all there, although my photographs may not have captured them well. This is a statement piece - beautiful and elegant - and would make someone a very happy present. It will be packaged securely and shipped quickly.
