Gothic Style Pair of Matching Carved Winged Griffin Gargoyles.Wooden carvings of winged Gargoyleswith a detailed body. The Gargoyles have dramatic pointed wings which are carved in excellent definition. Fine facial detail with mouths carved open with baring teeth. The Gargoyles have scrolling and acanthus detail which enhances the gothic beauty of this pair of figures. Thesefigures were probably at one point pieces as part of a large piece of furniture. There are metal screws at the top of each Gargoyles head and post for display. Both Gargoyles are in overall good condition with some minor damage/chips to the wings and scrolling of each figure (see pictures for reference). Each Carving measures at22 1/2\" tall with a width of 13 1/4\" and a depth of 3 3/4\". These two carvings can be a striking addition to a bookcase, bar, mantle, furniture, oryour DIYproject.
