European artist. Early 20th century

Original gouache on paper glued to cardboard. Unsigned. Unframed.

Size: image 12 1/4\" x 10 1/4\" (312mm x 260mm)

Clear well-preserved colors. Two areas with minimal creasing, barely visible (see photos). A small chip is missing at the cardboard at the upper left, leaving a tiny mark at the edge of the paper (1mm). In very good condition.

An interesting and highly detailed work of art. From a Danish estate clearance. However, the manner is not of a Danish artist. It resembles the works of the Russian artist

Mstislav Valerianovich Dobuzinskij (1875-1957). The artist visited Denmark on several occations. He made stage designs, as well as portraits and cityscapes from Copenhagen.
