\"Grape Basket\" is a retired ornament from Merk Family’s Original Old World Christmas Collection. This long retired ornament is “new”, in mint condition, from The Holiday Shop of Saratoga Springs store stock. Produced by the family workshop of Inge-Glas, now operated by the fifteenth generation of glassblowers, this whimsical basket of miniature grapes is sure to be one of your favorite Christmas collectibles!

Nestled on top of a bed of moss, in a real wicker basket, are three miniature grapes in luscious colors of red, purple and green. The ornaments are made of blown-glass, are hand painted by skilled German artisans, and are topped with the star cap trademark, signifying their authenticity as heirloom ornaments created by Inge-Glas. This piece is sold as one set and the grape ornaments are not intended to be seperated from the basket. It measures approximately 2 ½” and it comes with a story card telling the legend of the \"Glass Grape Ornament\"; grapes are a sign of hospitality and friendship. This ornament will make a perfect Christmas, hostess or housewarming gift!
