Great group of WWII Northeast Airlines Photographs 1943:
$4.99

A great group of 28 original photographs pertaining to Northeast Airlines, circa 1943. They depict various officers, planes, classroom activities, and probably the most interesting; pictures of early flight simulators. Northeast Airlines had its beginnings in 1931 as Boston-Maine Airways, adopting the Northeast name in 1940. During World War II Northeast Airlines was instrumental in trans-Atlantic troop transport. It flew sporadic domestic flights through the 1950s and \'60s before merging with Delta in 1972. Each photo is printed on fairly heavy matte paper and measures approx. 4\" x 5\". All are in overall excellent condition with just a little waviness. No tears or stains. The reverses are blank except for a pencilled number on each one. They come in their original Windmann Studios, New York, manila envelope.Pencilled on the front is \"JG- 1943\" and what appears to be \"Kenne\". A wonderful piece of WWII and aviation history, worthy of more research. Being offered with !
