For sale is a superb cup and saucer made by Sevres around 1907. The set is hand painted with their famous deep blue color in uneven thicknesses to lend it a superb look and with a gold design trim over that that is simply stunning. Nice handle shape as well! The set is in perfect condition. Both pieces are marked underneath with the number 1907 and S in a triangle in green. Both also have a letter L. which is probably a painters mark and the red Dore a Sevres mark in a circle with the date 1920 in it. So the porcelain was made in 1907 and decorated in 1920 which is common for Sevres porcelain of this period. Also a lot of incised marks typical of Sevres. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.625 inches in diameter.
