Greek Mythology Display Plate
Nice handmade display plate depicting 2 Greek Gods from Greek mythology. One is a Sphinx with a lion body, wings of a bird and a head of a woman. The other is a man-God with a pink hat, cape and brown staff. They are sitting together, facing one another with a single sprig between them, on top of some clouds. This piece is a reproduction of the 400 B.C. Classical Period Era. Condition is very good, no damage seen. Some fading on the edges of the paint. Please view pictures for close up details. Marked on the back in black and also has 2 holes for hanging. Pretty colors of rust, orange, gray, pink, green, blue, black, brown and white are shown. There are 4 rings around the border. Plate measures about 9 1/2\" in diameter and is made of Terracotta clay, all handmade in Greece. Nice vintage display plate, perfect for any home or collection!
