Here is a very nice Grueby Pottery vase with a lobed form like a pumpkin, grooved 9 times around the hand thrown form. It is covered in a smooth and even finely curdled medium matte green glaze.It measures 5 inches high and 4 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest point.It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs. Marked with the earlier Grueby Faience Co Boston USA die-stamp, an incised con-joined FSL for decorator Florence S. Liley. A good example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
