Antique rawhide rope. Nice mellow brown patina. Original leather burner on honda. Check out the old stitches. The tail of this four plat rope is a square 8 plat braid. Four strings of fringe is gone at the tail. This is not a Mexican made rope. Or is it like the others on that claim to be old. This is early 1900\'s, maybe earlier. Check out the photos, that will show the age. Measures over 64 feet. This reata is still springy as it was unused. It is hard to feed without getting a figure eight. Unless you have a lot of slack between your coils and your loop to build in to. It is due for some liquid glycerin that will change the color and make it a richer brown color. It will fade with time and will need it again. That will be up to the buyer. It has been in my collection for over 20 years. I bought it with some Ortega reins and romel. This lasso is unmarked.
