From Paris, France, in the 1920s, this is a lovely framed hand-tinted mezzotint etching. Brisgand was known for his female nudes and sensual pastels. He exhibited at the salon of French artists from 1893-1936. This is hand-signed and stamped with Brisgand\'s personal seal and press stamp on a paper. It is featuring a semi nude woman in profile wearing a white lace cap and draped in a pink robbe. Her facial features and hands are just lovely! Itmeasures 22 inches by 14 inches, with Frame it is 25 X 31.
Gustave Brisgand was a French visual artist who was born in 1880. Several works by the artist have been sold at sale, including \'Blue hair-ornament\' sold at Ise Art Co. Ltd. \'Art sale\' in 2014 for $10,276. The artist died in 1940.
