Own a piece of HOLLYWOOD HISTORY with this vintage H.D.HOVER\'S CIRO\'S HOLLYWOOD NIGHTCLUB small ashtray. Opening in January 1940, Herman Hover took over management of Ciro\'s in 1942 until it closed its doors in 1957. It was one of \"the\" places to be seen and guaranteed being written about in the gossip columns of Hedda Hopper and Louella Parsons. Ciro\'s began as a private Hollywood Celebrity club and when Hover took over, he opened it up to the public as well. He brought in the Rat Pack, Nat King Cole, Sammy Davis Jr.\'s comeback from his horrific car accident, and provided the finest showgirls of the era with entertainment to match all before Las Vegas became \"The Destination\". He adorned his tables with ashtrays featuring an evening\'s entertainment, and in this case it reads: \"glorifying the most beautiful girls in the world\". The history of Ciro\'s is astounding and filled with Hollywood Scandal. The Comedy Store is now on this site. This 3 1/2\" X 3 1/2\" ashtray is in excellent condition and rare!
