Here is an item with a duel, if not totally disparate, purpose. It doubles as an etui or a cheroot holder case. The conical form container has snap action cap at one end and a ring on the other to attach it to a chatelaine or watchchain.It is hallmarked with stamps for Birmingham 1906 and maker’s marks for Henry Matthews. The case is in excellent vintage condition with no damage or faults to report; just a little wear and a couple of dints that don’t affect the appearance.
