This wonderful Halcyon Days enamel box commemorates the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. On top is a silhouette of the Queen in the shield portion of the Royal Coat of Arms, flanked by an English lion and a Scottish unicorn. Scallops of United Kingdom flowers border the edge : the English rose, the Scottish thistle, daffodils for Wales, and shamrocks for Ireland. Different heraldic shields, including one of the British Union Jack, border the side, with vines of U. K. flowers. The symbols relate to the countries. The harp is for Ireland; three lions are for England; the rampant (standing) lion is for Scotland and the dragon is for Wales. The inside top has " A Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her Golden Jubilee 1952 - 2002", and St. Edward's Crown, used at her coronation, is on the bottom. The box has a diameter of 1.6" with a height of 1.1". Written on the bottom is "Halcyon Days Enamels - England." Insured first class S&H is $7.
