The rooster is a design in Kris Miller\'s book, introduction to rug hooking. When I saw the large key I knew it would make a great hanging rod. This is well balanced and would hang nicely from a single nail or a pair.

This is a fun hooked piece, simple yet striking. Colorful and folksy piece of art, one of a kind.

Hooked using pure wool fabric strips on a monks cloth base. Edge is finished by whipping with matching tweed yarn and the back has a piece of black and white tweed wool sewn securely. Would make a fabulous addition to your home or a thoughtful house gift for someone else.

The key is approximately 13 inches long. The hooked mat is suspended by tabs to be a total of 10.5 inches from the crossbar. It is 7 inches wide.
