The lock does work and is a sturdy and heavy duty lock. The key is also marked Colt as well! One key and it does work great! The key and lock are numbered. The number you receive on the lock and key may not be the same number as the picture shows. The lock measures 2 1/2 inches tall, is just over 2 1/4 inches wide and is 3/4 inches thick.
