Here for sale is an \"stunning in its simplicity\" vintage Taxco Mexico 950 silver collar/choker necklace. What I love about this necklace is that it has a matte finish, and it looks so classy on the neckline with almost any blouse, or dress.

This necklace is made of heavy, solid 950 silver (more silver content than the more common 925 \"sterling silver.\") It consists of slightly curved articulated panels, with a downward point on each panel. It has a \"brushed\" matte finish on the front side and a polished finish on the underside. It was crafted by fine Taxco silversmith Judith Ortiz Cuevas, and signed with her personal Taxco designation of TO-40, as documented in Morrill and Berk\'s book, Mexican Silver.

I have shown it with a large sterling onyx pendant in the photos, just to add another \"dimension\" to what might be another wearable option for this necklace, although it looks great alone, as well.

The necklace has 16 - 16.5\" of wearable length, and it\'s 3/8\" wide. It is signed MEXICO TO-40 and 950 for silver content. It closes with a tongue-and-box style closure in perfect working condition. It weighs 60.1 grams, and it is in excellent condition--with barely a scratch to any of the matte finish.
