For your consideration is this original personal letter withthe blue stamp Herbert Hoover Cancellation envelope from President Herbert Hoover to his dear friend, Edward Anthony. This comes directly from the estate of the late Edward & Esther Anthony who had a home in New Milford, CT as well asan apartment in New York City. Edward was a publicity manager for Hoover\'s 1928 Presidential campaign. The president maintained a close & warmrelationship with the couple for the rest of his life.

Typed on Herbert Hoover letterhead from his addressat the Waldorf-Astoria Towers, New York 22, New York. Dated October 18, 1962.Signed in black ink.

The letter reads:

My dear Ed:

It was good of you to bring in those copies of my biography--we needed them badly.

But more important, it was good to see you again, and I now confirm in writing my message of affections to Mrs. Anthony.
