This is a previously-owned, vintage ‘Happy Birthday” fold-out card manufactured by Hi-Brows / American Greetings sometime in the late 1960s or 1970s (as part of their counterculture collection). Though it shows a very finite degree of edgewear due to its age, it is unused, with no pencil or pen marks anywhere. It exclaims, “Happy Birthday… To One of the Nicest Nuts on Our Family Tree!” but it does not include an envelope.

In 1957, thanks to the rising counterculture, American Greetings introduced a new division -- Hi Brows. Influenced by the funny cards being made by Bohemian artists in Greenwich Village studios, these irreverent, witty cards were slim and tall.
