For sale is an absolutely lovely and HIGHQUALITYpair of VINTAGE/ANTIQUE western dark oil braided leather romelromal rommel reins with STERLING SILVER FERRULES!! These are excellent qualityvintage romel reins which are apparently unmarked, but the quality is veryevident. These lovely reins are beautifully made from rich brown braidedleather with many raised braided accents of various size and shape. The bitends are reinforced with rawhide at the loops. Each rein has 3 STERLING SILVERFERRULES, for a total of 9, all of which are 1” in length. The sterling silveris of SUPERB QUALITY with beautiful, deep hand engraving which shows excellent attentionto detail….I feel the silver is very similar to VINTAGE FLEMING or DIABLO.

These romels are DECADES old…they are probablymore antique than vintage. Unfortunately, they do show some damage andconcentrated wear, particularly on the rein loop—the single romel rein is inbetter shape overall. There is one spot on one of the reins (rein loop) whichshows damage to many braids in a single area, and this area is narrower becauseof it—see closeups. There are multiple other areas with damaged braids (thoughnone nearly as bad as the latter), and the loop end of the single romel reinlooks to have been patched at some point (see closeups). There are many othersigns of use, age and wear, such as fading and discoloration, surfacewear/smoothing, the leather seems to be a bit dry, the sterling silver istarnished, ect.

These romels weigh in at just 13oz, so they are lighter weight.The popper is beautifully tooled with a floral design and it measures 11.75”long by 1 and 1/8” wide. The diameter of the rein loop is 3/8” while the singleromel rein is just a hair thicker. The rein loop is approx. 49” long, thesingle rein is approx. 46.5” long and the total length is 95”.Anyquestions, just ask! Be sure to check out my many other listings for tons ofgreat horsey deals!

DISASSEMBLY FOR SHIPPING – To ensure the safe delivery ofyour item, ALL HEADSTALLS AND BRIDLES WILL BE DISASSEMBLED WHEN PACKAGED FORSHIPMENT. I do this to ensure that pieces and parts do not bend in ways whichmight crack the leather or misshape it. For western headstalls with silver,this avoids silver bars getting bent or posts snapping off if the leather it’son is bent. It also helps to keep shipping costs lower, as I am able to usesmaller boxes while still properly packaging items which in turn keeps theweight of the package down, and I can pass those savings onto my customers!

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING - Internationalshipping is expensive! I charge a flat rate based on what it will cost to shipa given item halfway around the world, but if I\'m only shipping one countryover, the quote is very likely higher than what it will actually cost. If thisis the case, I will refund the difference in price upon shipment, but I doexpect customers outside the U.S. to pay the quoted charge.
