A highly unusual late 17th or early 18th century posted frame 30 hout longcase movement.
Extremely rare early example of a pin type countwheel.
Very unusual hammer counter mounted on the top plate.
Very unusual and stantially made swan necked brass bell stand.
Three wheel going train.

The movement is very dirty, oily and tarnished but is structurally sound and in good condition. Virtually no rust to the steelwork. Virtually no wear to the pinions. The wheel trains run smoothly when pressure is applied to the great wheels and the escapement trips well but the d.
The dial motionwork (hour wheel and pinion of report) is missing. Would have been single handed.
The movement has been partially restored including work to the lifting steelwork and the escapement pallets etc. see images.
No bell, dial or hand.
