Union Pacific’s fleetof articulated steam locomotives included this ‘Light Challenger’ 4-6-6-4. Theprototype was a 1936 Alco product. originally numbered #3908. The modelrepresents the locomotive after being re-numbered in 1944 as #3808. This locoremained in UP service until 1957.
The model has been nicelycustom finished and lightly run. There are some areas of paint loss – nearly allon the edge of details that can be easily touched up. The model runs quitesmoothly powered by a Canon coreless motor. There is very light wear on thedrivers. The model is NOT lighted.The original box is in excellent condition with original packingintact.
Although this model hasa few nicks in the paint, it is in very good condition and requires only minortouch-up. All it takes to add this post-war articulated to your UP roster is tosubmit your offer.
