Listed is an HOn3 Colorado & Southern 2-8-0 locomotive, C&S class B4-D number 69 as it appeared in the 1930s.
The prototype was used on all parts of the C&S 3-foot gauge system, on both the South Park division and the Clear Creek line west of Denver.
The model was built by Samhongsa for Key Imports in 1982. As brass narrow gauge locomotives go it is considered a rarity in its unpainted state.
This locomotive has been professionally painted and weathered. It has been test run only since my purchase. The can motor is DC controlled, no lights or window glazing has been installed.
There is no coal load, possibly enough room in the tender for a Tsunami2 decoder and sugar cube speaker.
The model appears to never have been run on a layout, there is no wheel wear.The model runs smoothly without binds, but would benefit from lubrication. Typical of 1980s brass imports, the model is a bit fast.
A re-motoring and re-gearing kit is available for this model from the LocoDoc in original Key Imports red box with original foam.
