Description:

This is a very desirable and hard to findAnsonia statue that rarely comes up for sale.The casting is an extremelyhigh quality, with a great amount of detail you will not find with most other statue makers of the era. Ansonia\'s chief designer for the time was Henry Davies, andas you can see,he was a master craftsman.

Ansonia made two versions of the axe for Dagobert. Thisaxe is the later version and is original to the piece. The axe is removable and will be wrapped separately for shipping.

The finish has a time worn patina and all of the original bronze finish is gone - down to the base metal. The horse\'s reigns are missing as they often are on this statue, but very easy to replace.

There are no cracks, bends, breaks, separations or repairs.
