This listing is for anextraordinaryhard to come by Vintage I Like Ike Eisenhower Rotary Telephone Powder Makeup Mirror Compact!This compact is from the political campaign of Dwight Eisenhower! It touts the popular slogan he used \"I Like Ike\" in red on the \"finger holes\" of the rotary telephone shaped item! It has an enamel top in blue, red and white with asilhouetteof the USA at the center. It is over gold tone metal, likely brass though I cannot verify. When opened it has a mirror on the inside top and there is a powder puff andremovable powder screenlined bottom.It measures about 3.5in by .5inIt is in nice shape with some wear. The enamel top and sides have some light/moderate scratching, and there are some marks to the side metal as seen in the images. The underside has a bit more scratching and wear. The inside mirror has some wear around the edges as is typical with items like this. The puff is in very nice shape, as is the lining/powder screen. All in all wonderful!This is a very hard political item to come across, seldom coming up for sale! Do not miss out! A wonderful addition to any collection!
