HUGE 19.5\" 1941 Harvard Wedgwood Main Course Platter Campus in 1823 Blue & White 2 faint lines in glaze - not cracks or crazing.Not quite egg & dart, but beautiful scallops & crimping, nice contrast in the cobalt blue & white. We are happy to send more photos and answer any questions before a sale.
Features: A very impressive platter, made by Wedgwood in England for Harvard University in 1941. This has a pie crimped scalloped rim of pure white. The clean image and lush border decorations are done in medium to cobalt blue. Just a stunning, large piece.
The center depicts an idyllic \"Northeast prospect of Harvard in 1823 - from site later chosen for Memorial Hall.\"
Size: 19.5\" x 17\"
Condition: Minor 1/4\" long, thin flake underneath the lower left rim. A small fleck off white glaze at the handle area, towards the underside (maybe done by a ring.) No other chips, cracks, crazing. A few very faint specks in glaze.
