We are pleased to offer this incredible, very large, pair of antique andirons. Dating to the early 1900s, this pair is crafted in the Arts and Crafts, Mission,Spanish Revival,fashion. The pair have a nautical theme and feature a large, Spanish galleon or clipper ship as their focal point. This exceptional and exquisite pair are a combination of iron andbronze/brass. The top section of the andirions are iron andfeature the large shipmedallion inside theouter frame.A large, detailed leaf is the top finial. The center columns are a barley twist design in an enameled/oiled type finish. They are bronze or brass as a magnet will not adhere to this section. The legs and feet are thick, forged iron as are the long, attached firedogs.

This is a very rarepair withwonderful design and character. They arein very good condition for their age. They are structurally very sound and sturdy. They have an aged patina with some expected rusting to theiron.

The andirions areVERY LARGE. Each measures 34\" tall. They are 20\" long with the firedogs attached. The bases measure 12\" wide. The large ship measures 4\" x 4\" with the \"medallion\" sections measuring6\" x7\". The long center twisted columns are 16\"in length. They are very heavy with each andiron weighing 24 pounds.
