Huge Ancient Stone Chinese Song Yuan Or Ming Dynasty Buddhist Tablet Authentic For Sale
HUGE ANCIENT AUTHENTIC CHINESE SONG/YUAN DYNASTY BUDDHIST STONE TABLE
ACQUIRED FROM A BRIAN PAGE ANTIQUES sale!
This exceedingly rare 16” by 13-1/4”, 22 lbs stone tablet was excavated from a Buddhist site in the Yunnan province in South West China. It dates to the Song Dynasty (AD 960-1279), Yuan Dynasty (AD 1279-1268) or possibly the Ming Dynasty. It has various Sanskrit-type characters, the Buddhist script of the time period, permanently incised in stone. I have not had the ancient writings interpreted but believe it to be some kind of prayer.
I acquired this outstanding example a few years ago from a Brian Page Antiques sale in Brighton, United Kingdom. This reputable firm was established in 1968 and they act as consultants and specialized dealers in authentic Asian Art and Antiquities. I will include a copy of the Brian Page Antiques sale description and images.

A Special Note On Authenticity: I am a member of the A.A.C.A in good standing. I hold fast to their policies of authenticity and believe in providing 100% genuine artifacts to the collecting community. You will find that I have taken the extra steps of having most grade 7 through 10 artifacts papered, sometimes multiple times if the value and degree of rarity dictates it. There is nothing worse than a buyer getting taken by an unscrupulous con artist operating here on . In my experience, I have found that over 50% of the artifacts publicly offered are either fake, been rechipped, modified, mistyped or misrepresented. This hurts collectors and honest dealers, alike. You can count on me to provide verified, vetted and genuine objects.
I am currently on the board of directors for the International Meteorite Collectors Association (I.M.C.A.). I have been a member of the I.M.C.A. since the beginning, was previously elected by my peers to serve in the officers position of Secretary and I adhere to the most stringent Code of Ethics in the industry. The I.M.C.A. is a nonprofit corporation that adheres to the strictest standards of authenticity. Although the I.M.C.A. doesn’t directly apply to artifacts, basically the same code of ethics and guarantee of authenticity apply. My IMCA number is 2185, which can be referenced on the I.M.C.A. website at: http://imca.cc/
Why ?: I can offer world-class artifacts at a reasonable price since most large sale houses and galleries seem out of touch with current economic conditions. I find high catalog fees, excessive commission rates and buyer premiums repulsive. When added together, these fees can total up to 50% or more! Remember, quality is always the best way to preserve or increase your returns on investments, especially in the collectables sector. Collector and investment grade artifacts have always outperformed all others. I want to earn your trust and repeat patronage by offering them here on .
Please Read Important Shipping Information: Please wait until the end of the sale session before paying and I will promptly send an invoice including combined shipping on multiple items. I do not make anything on shipping. As a matter of fact, when PayPal fees, gem jars, inserts and packing material are taken into account, I actually lose money on shipping.
Shipping Costs: A US Parcel Post Mail fee of $40.00 will be added to the final offer price which includes delivery confirmation. I combine shipping on multiple orders. International shipping will cost $250.00 due to the heavy packed weight of this item. I ship the vast majority of items within one business day of payment.
A Special Note To Our Friends Overseas: I will not ship artifacts to foreign countries unless specified otherwise due to the risk of loss, unclear international laws and the lack of an inexpensive shipping method to track to your door. For the time being, I still do ship mineral and meteorites specimens overseas. I will make arrangements for overseas shipping if arrangements are made ahead of end of sale
Thank you very much for looking and if you are offerding, good luck!
