Huge, gorgeous, antique 1864 handcolored map, titled, in fancy antique lettering, Johnson\'s Missouri and Kansas, Published by Johnson and Ward, with some fine titled period related art vignettes. These areas were very unfinished at the time this map was made. The map has seperated along the middle fold, and some of the paper has folded back there, the map needs and archival repair, I think this can be repaired on reverse with archival tape. Fascianting, detailed and very attractive period map of these areas at this time The map is in excellent fine condition. Gorgeous, detailed and rare period map of this area at this time. Nice outside ornate border, printed on thick paper. The fine handcoloring is period to the map, this is before color printing. Interesting detailed charts surround the map as well.
