Here we have an extremely rare HUGE Chester Nicodemus Pottery figure of a majestic Great Dane. This is the biggest Nicodimus animal I have ever seen. Nicely modeled with golden yellow Nicodemus glaze and high gloss finish. Impressed \"Nicodemvs\" on the bottom. Excellent condition! Measures 14\" x 8\" x 4-1/2\". C.1940\'S-50\'s. *Chester Nicodemus was an Ohio Artist/Potter/Sculpture 1901 – 1990. He graduated from Cleveland Art School, attended Ohio State University, taught at Wittenberg College, Dayton Art Institute, and Columbus Art School, and created beautiful items in his Columbus, Ohio home /garage/ studio which he sold locally as well as nationally. His business was called: Ferro-Stone Ceramics - made from clay mined in Ohio.
