Unlike any other concho belt you will find,having shapes known widely & sacred to New Mexico,this amazing concho belt is made by one of New Mexico\'s most sought after & highly in demand,Navajo \"VINCENT PLATERO\"...There is something highly identifiable to the stamp work he does with his pieces,that no one can duplicate..100\'s of different stamps he uses, are all made by him in order to get the looks he does.This concho belt will really make you appreciate him as an artist & was made especially for the person who LOVES to wear their art & appreciates great Hand Made Native American works of art!! DESCRIPTION & MEASUREMENTS:
Massive in size & having a very \"Old Pawn\" feel,all of the 9 HUGE conchos & the one gorgeous square center Buckle Concho,are made of super thick gauge sterling(16 guage)..All are done with a repousse technique,giving lift on the front side..The concho\'s are unbelievably stamped so differently,having a couple of beautiful \"NM Crosses\" that are different from each other,a couple \"Hearts\" (different stamping)a couple \"Squared\",(stamped differently) an \"Oval\",a couple \"Round\"that are also stamped differently..All have Scalloped edges..
The conchos range from 3\" to 3~1/8\"!!! The belt is 1 -1/2\" tall,51\" long..This measures 31~1/2\",if you put all the conchos close together,with excess leather hanging, that can be cut down.(Please see photos 11/12) ******The leather belt has no holes punched in it & one would have to have it punched to be able to wear & also be cut down,if needed..You can get a leather hole puncher at a place like \"Tandy\'s or possibly Michaels or Hobby Lobby\" from their leather dept. or possible a shoe repair...They give it to you this way & people \'personalize\" it, to fit them******OR,you can slide the conchos off & use your own belt!!! .This will fit at least a 31\" waist & up..(Please see photo 11/12)

Two copper bars over each concho on the backside,which gives the conchos the ability to slide..Except for the buckle,you can also remove all & place the conchos where you wish..If you would like to change the belt out all together,you would have to cut the leather where the buckle is,since it ispermanentlyon there..Hallmarked with his signature\"Long Horn Bull\" icon,VJP with a copyright symbol,Sterling,Albuq. Born in Albuquerque in \'58 & grew up on the Navajo reservation of Canoncito,To\'hajiilee,NM 30 miles west.His parents/grandparents were silversmiths before him,he was taught by his Mother & still uses tools passed down to him by his ancestors. Vincent\'s specialty are designs based on Navajo rug patterns.Respected for his intricate stamping,he once made Santa Fe\'s Rocki Gorman\'s jewelry for her gallery,with her designs.In 2008,his work was featured in \"New Mexican.Participates in \"Indian Market\'Santa Fe.
