This is a steel Letter opener. It is in excellent condition.
These are items were purchased in the 1940-50s in Beirut, Lebanon by my grandfather while he was overseas, serving in the Navy. We do not believe that my grandmother ever used these items, and my mother has never seen them be used. There are some coral inlay pieces that are missing and have fallen out, as well as some where my grandmother tried to put them back.
There is no mark on the items, but according to research, Haddad Jezzine did not mark these items. There is only one knife that has a mark. The handles are made of bone (possibly camel), brass, coral or resin and silver inlay. These are the Golden Phoenix / White Firebird style handles.
There are some coral pieces missing in some pieces, please review photos as best you can.
All items are original and have been cleaned.
