Note: The Usuzumi Zakura (Pale Grey Cherry Blossom) is a designated naturalmonument, within Gifu Prefecture. With a height of 17.3 m and estimated to be a1500 y/o edohigan cherry tree species, is known as the largest and oldestcherry tree in Japan.

Thename Usuzumi Zakura means “pale grey cherry blossom”, which describes the verylight grey color of the trees blossoms just as they are about to fall.
