There is no better way to commemorate a specialoccasion than a diminutive keepsake box from Halcyon Days. They are enamel oncopper with a golden mount. Made and hand painted in Bristol England. Theseboxes are made for a very limited time and then the cast is destroyed never tobe made again. A beautiful way to mark a special day, and this handcraftedenamel box is so much more personal a gesture than so many other gifts. HalcyonDays is one of the very few remaining companies to nurture the art of enamelingonto copper, a technique which dates back to the 18th century.

AboutHalcyon Days Enamels: The Halcyon Days shop opened in London\'s Mayfair in 1950,and its Halcyon Days Enamels debuted 20 years later, reviving the nearly lostEnglish art of enameling on copper. Halcyon Days Enamels keepsake boxes, featuring hand enameling and hand painting, are prized by collectors worldwideas modern heirlooms. Whilst the English craft of enameling on copper flourishedduring the 18th century, by the 1830\'s it had almost disappeared; consequentlythe pieces which Halcyon Days specialized in were extremely rare. In 1970 SusanBenjamin established a collaboration with enamel manufacturer Bilston and BatterseaEnamels.
