Have learned always --no great deals or short cuts. If they say no returns --you might want to run.
In fine condition. Very very rare, 14Kt white gold Hamilton Ventura with original diamond dial. Circa 1960. Pictures truly do not represent the beauty of this watch. Rene Rondeau reconditioned the 505 movement. Had the dial refinished in the factory radiation pattern from the center out. The watch is completely original. In Rene\'s book, \"The Watch of The Future\", he states that 14Kt white gold was very very rare and introduced in 1958. Page 165. If you wanted a diamond dial, back in that time, you would pay a 50% premium for it. White gold was not a very common watch procurement at that time and was out of favor. However, everyone talks about it being the Elvis watch. It is true that Elvis bought 10 of them in December 1965, that he simply gave away. These were 14Kt yellow gold. The watch worn in the movie Blue Hawaii was also yellow gold. Elvis, however, wore mostly white gold and his personal Ventura, with the black dial, was 14Kt white gold. Page 169. There were approximately 11,750 Ventura\'s produced from 1957-1963. It is estimated that only 5% of those were built in 14Kt white gold. If you do the math, that would be 588 actual 14Kt white gold produced. Those with a diamond dial is estimated would be 10% of those. Therefore, this watch would be one of 59 produced over a period of 8 years. This watch, the Ventura, \"is considered one of the greatest classics in the world\". Page 167. This could possibly be one of the best remaining ones out there, and is therefore very very rare. You\'re welcome to make an offer. I certainly hope you are a collector of Hamilton\'s. But I will not respond to low ball offers at all. You are also very welcome to correct me in any of the statements above. I have the papers where Rene restored the watch. It has not been run except for two times for special events after it was restored. I chose not to put the phony two tone gold and black band on the watch. That band was only for a 4 month period in 1957 and is not appropriate for this watch. On the watch is a black suede very old Champion band. If you have any questions or comments, do not hesitate to ask. I\'ve never been able to accurately predict shipping costs, but please be aware that I only ship overnight and insured for full purchase price. This can be upwards of a couple hundred dollars. If you don\'t like the watch, I\'ll be more than happy to take it back with you paying the return shipping/insurance.
