- Here is a nice Hand Carved Antique Style Virginia InfluenceRoothead DowitcherShore Bird Decoy carved by my myself (Sam McKamie). It is carved with pocket knife and rasp from cedar after I did the initial sawing and drilling. Thisbeach bird is of two piece construction with body of cedar and the head and neck are ofcypress as shown in the pictures. This beach bird is painted in a gunning style like those decoys of old. Stand is included. This bird measures 11 1/8 inches long from the tip of the tail to tip of the head, 11 1/8 inches tall, and from 1 1/2 inch stock. It will make a fine addition to any collection.
