This fine listing features a handcrafted ELK HUNTER & ELK Whirligig for the outdoors. The propeller spins in the wind making theElk Hunter rock up and down as he points the gun at the elk. It measures approx. 20\"long, 3 wide,and about 10\" tall without the propeller (the propeller is 16\" long). It is made of wood and has stainless steel fasteners and gears to prevent rust in the weather.

A mounting pole (18\" long including insert rod) is included along with 2 mounting screws. There is a metal encased hole in the base of the whirligig to insert the mounting rod, so it pivots as the wind changes direction. Decks and fences are the easiest mounts, but a pole or sign in a garden works well as long as it is sturdy. This works well as a \"scarecrow\" when there\'s a breeze!

It is hand painted, folk art style, and sprayed with a clear water-resistant lacquer for all-weather wear. We don\'t recommend leaving it up in a strong wind situation or through harsh winter weather. The propeller could actually make it airborne! It does best in daily, light breezes. A delight to watch!

This whirligig is a bit more labor intense, thus the price is a bit higher than our other listed whirligigs. But. . . it\'s worth it!
