These baskets are made from an old Native American style that I\'ve modified for scraps of yarn. I use one long strand of new yarn and leftovers from various projects. All of the scrap yarn is hand knotted in, with the ends tightly woven inside the stitches. The baskets look neat, even though they use up material that would be wasted in most cases. I\'m a firm believer in using what\'s available and these cute baskets are one of my favorite ways to do that! No two are alike! I put a can of food, and/or other things in beside the baskets, or in them, as a size reference. (You won\'t get those things - just the basket.) :)The medium baskets are approximately 7\" tall and 71/2\" across. The bottom of the baskets are made so that they stand alone. They are soft sided. Once they\'re washed, they\'ll slump unless they\'re stiffened. I wash mine inside a pillow case (pinned shut) or a lingerie bag, then place over any object that\'s about the size of the basket (1/2 gallon can of beans, for instance) and spray lightly with spray starch or fabric stiffener, and allow to dry.These baskets are fantastic for all types of organizing. They look SO cute in kids\' rooms. My friend loves primitives and rustic decor, and uses them for soaps, rolled wash cloths, and other guests\' needs in her guest bedroom and bath. I use them for yarn balls, office supplies, and anything small that needs to be kept in one place. The ones with handles are handy for cleaning supplies, toys, or anything that needs moved from room to room.
I try to add new colors each time the listing renews, but sometimes, don\'t get that done. I plan to make some larger ones again soon, once I get several current projects finished.
