This beautiful handcrafted silver heart pendant necklace and French hook earring set was purchased by our donor in a small jewelry shop in Hungary in 2005 directly from the artisan. Each of the three heart pendants are 1/2 inch wide by 7/8 inch tall. The back of the necklace pendant is marked ‘WIADS’ (presumably the name of the artisan) and the symbol of a hand, probably an indication the pieces are indeed hand crafted. The necklace has a robust 15 inch ‘square wheat’ chain with a 1-1/2 inch double hook clasp. The 3-piece set weighs 25 grams or 0.8 oz.Since the set is not actually marked Sterling I took it to a local jeweler who assured me from a visual inspection that it was a good quality silver set.
